After Graduating from the Massachusetts College of Optometry in 1973, Dr. Jerry Baker started his Rome practice in the office of Dr. Schiele A. Brewer at 301 N. Washington St. In 1983, Dr. Baker moved the practice into the office of Dr. Harold Lloyd where he was able to expand the patient services. The EyeCare Center of Rome was founded after Dr. Lloyd retired in 1996 and he turned his practice over to Dr. Baker.
In 2002, Dr. Baker moved the EyeCare Center to its current, more spacious location at 1300 Floyd Avenue. In 2005, Dr Baker was very pleased to welcome Rome native Dr. David Vinci, who brings excellent clinical skills and a strong background in patient care to the practice.
